Colleen McElhinney, PA-C, joins pain management team
August 2022
Many Fauquier County residents know Colleen McElhinney from her previous roles as an ER Technician at Fauquier Hospital and as an EMT-Paramedic with the Remington Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department.
About eight years ago, she supplemented her medical experience with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from JMU and 10 months of clinical studies before beginning a career in pain management. We are pleased to announce she has now joined our pain management team, working alongside Daniel Heller, MD, and Jenna Pataluna, PA-C.
When she’s not in the clinic, Colleen enjoys spending time with her family, especially her 4-year-old granddaughter, and is passionate about “anything baby, newborn, infant, toddler, and first school years,” she says. She also enjoys early morning walks to catch the sunrise and appreciates fine art, music, theatre, and dance. She describes herself as a devoted cat lady, but loves “all God’s creatures great and small,” she adds.
Colleen is certified in CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
